Who we are
Lina Massage Spa is a small, owner-operated massage spa in San Diego located at 7999 Dagget St A-12, in the heart of Kearny Mesa. We are not a chain, not a franchise, and not part of a membership program — just one quiet shop with a handful of careful therapists, a few private rooms, and one simple flat-rate price list. The neighborhood — the stretch of Kearny Mesa bordered by Convoy Street, Balboa Avenue, and Engineer Road — is a working-day part of San Diego, and most of our regulars are people who pass through here for work, errands, or restaurants. We built the spa for them: a quick, honest place to unwind without ceremony, without the upselling that bigger spas use to pad their margins, and without the appointment friction of having to plan a visit a week ahead.
Where we are — Dagget Street, Kearny Mesa
Our location at 7999 Dagget St A-12, San Diego, CA 92111 is right off Convoy Street, three minutes from Hwy-163, four minutes from I-805, and about ten minutes from I-5. Free parking is at our front door — no plaza walk, no parking meters, no permits. The closest cross streets are Engineer Road and Balboa Avenue, both well-known to local drivers. We share a building corner with Kearny Mesa Toyota and are a one-minute drive from the Convoy Street restaurant row, which is part of why so many guests come in either side of a Convoy meal. If you have never been to Kearny Mesa, the area is a pocket of working-day San Diego — auto dealerships, light industrial, and Convoy's dense Asian-food district. Quiet on weekends, busy on weekdays. Our spa stays calm regardless because we keep it small.
What makes us different
Three things set our massage spa in San Diego apart from the typical day-spa or chain alternative. First, our pricing is genuinely flat. $50 for 30 minutes, $70 for 60 minutes. Same price for Swedish, Deep Tissue, Oil Relaxing, Stress Relief, Couples, or Shiatsu. No upgrade fees, no aromatherapy surcharges, no hot-stone add-ons — what you see on our menu is what you pay at the front desk. Second, we are genuinely walk-in. The hours posted on the door — 8 AM to 12 AM every day of the week — are real. We never close earlier than midnight, never lock the door for staff lunches, and never tell you to come back tomorrow because of staffing. Third, we have no membership program. There is no monthly fee, no "package" pressure at the end of your session, no commission incentive for therapists to upsell. If you want to come once a week we are glad to see you weekly; if you only need us once every three months, we are equally glad to see you then.
Our therapists and approach
Our therapist team is small and stable — the same people week after week, not a rotating staff. Each therapist has between five and fifteen years of professional bodywork experience, with training that varies (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Oil Relaxing, Stress Relief, Couples, and Shiatsu are all on our menu) but the working approach is the same across the team: match pressure to the body in front of you, communicate at the start, adjust on the spot if anything feels too firm or too soft, and never push a service the guest did not ask for. We also do not use scripted scripts at check-in. The front desk asks three things: how long, what style, any sore spots or areas to skip — and that is it. The visit unfolds at the pace your body wants.
Why we are open until midnight
Most massage spas in San Diego close by 9 PM, with a handful pushing to 10 PM. We stay open until 12 AM (midnight) seven days a week for a reason: the city's working schedules are not 9-to-5. Hospital staff coming off shift, restaurant workers from Convoy's late-dinner crowd, software engineers from Sorrento Valley who closed a late deploy, travelers landing at SAN after a long flight — all of these guests have wanted a quiet, honest hour of bodywork at 10 PM and could not find it. Our late-night hours make Lina Massage Spa one of the only walk-in massage options in central San Diego after 10 PM. We also see a different mid-week pattern: Tuesday and Wednesday evenings between 8 PM and 11 PM are some of our calmest, quietest windows — perfect for a slow, unhurried session if your schedule lets you come then.
Our private rooms
Every massage at Lina Massage Spa happens in a single private room with a closing door. We do not run a single shared room with multiple tables, and we do not curtain-divide a larger space. Each room has fresh linens for every guest, warm soft lighting, and one massage table. Walls between rooms are soundproofed well enough that conversations and music from neighboring rooms do not carry. Couples and paired visits get adjacent rooms — same hallway, same start time — so you arrive together and walk out together while keeping the bodywork itself private. We think this is the right balance: paired visits feel shared without losing the relaxation depth that real privacy makes possible.

How to find us
The cleanest way: drop "Lina Massage Spa San Diego" or our address "7999 Dagget St A-12" into Google Maps and follow the directions. The building is a single-story commercial structure on Dagget Street with palm trees out front, a glass-door entry, and a pink "MASSAGE" sign in the window. Free parking spaces are right at our door. From Convoy Street: turn onto Engineer Road, then left onto Dagget Street — we are about a block down on the left. From Hwy-163: take Balboa Avenue East exit, cross Convoy, turn left on Dagget Street. From I-805: Balboa Avenue West exit, turn right on Convoy, then left on Dagget.
Frequently asked questions
Are you really a small spa, or are you a chain in disguise?
Genuinely small. Single owner-operated location at 7999 Dagget Street. No other branches, no parent company, no franchise affiliation. The therapist team is around six people total. We have no plans to expand to a second location — we like running one quiet shop well.
How long has Lina Massage Spa been on Dagget Street?
We have been operating at the Dagget Street location for several years and have built up a steady base of regulars from Kearny Mesa, Clairemont, Linda Vista, and the rest of central San Diego. The flat-rate, no-membership model is unusual for the area and has been the main reason word-of-mouth grew.
Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in?
Walk in any day during open hours (8 AM to 12 AM). For the busiest windows — Friday after 6 PM, Saturday all day, Sunday afternoons — sending your arrival time on the bottom right of any page is the safest way to make sure a room is ready when you arrive. Walk-ins outside those windows almost always get seated immediately.
What languages does your team speak?
English at the front desk. Several of our therapists also speak Mandarin and basic conversational Korean. We have served guests who speak only Spanish before — we use a phone translator at check-in when needed and there has never been a communication issue once the session starts.
Why no membership / discount packages?
Memberships and packages create pressure on therapists to upsell, and pressure on guests to come whether or not their body actually needs it. We would rather earn each visit. The flat-rate price is already lower than most San Diego spas, so we do not need package math to make repeat visits worthwhile.
